Travis landed in South Africa and started his epic journey around the globe for MTV. There are tons of updates happening on theunbeatentrack.com that will open your eyes and make you smile. I especially love the video of all the little kids discovering Travis’ tattoos. Make sure to also follow all his progress and what Trav has to say about his trip on twitter, too!
As you may or may not already know, this weekend Travis will embark on a life changing adventure with the Staying Alive team to India, South Africa and the Philippines to visit three grassroots youth HIV and AIDS awareness projects. MTV will be following him around with a camera and airing a documentary on December 1st - World AIDS Day. You can follow what Travis is doing on his blog here, or on twitter, at @TravisMTV, for up the minute info.
Also, a bunch of artists (Solange Knowles, Dizzy Rascal, Jordan Sparks, etc.) got together to wish him good luck and a bon voyage. Watch the video here!
Travis has been chosen as the 2009 ambassador for the MTV charity ‘Staying Alive Foundation‘. Both MTV International and the ‘Staying Alive Foundation’ help raise awareness and money worldwide for HIV & Aids.
In 3 weeks, Travis will trek around the globe, where he will film a documentary as he visits different HIV & Aids foundations in different countries.
